American Elm - DetailsAmerican Elm - Sale Price: $92.75
Fast Growing, Long Lived Tree The American Elm is a large deciduous tree. It would make an impressive street or shade tree for your front yard. The American Elm is the largest Elm in the United States. It can reach 130 feet in height and has an elegant vase shape with a broad, rounded crown. It’s fast-growing so you won’t have to wait as long as with some other trees for your shade tree to mature. The American Elm is also long-lived, with some reported being as old as 300 years. Think of the legacy you will provide for your children and grandchildren by planting an Elm in the yard! Your American Elm provides ornamental interest for every season The six inch deciduous leaves are ovate shaped with toothed edges, their dark green color a vibrant addition to the summer surroundings. Small green flowers form in spring, and although you’re not likely to notice them, the bees, butterflies and other pollinators of your yard certainly will. As the leaves begin to form, the flowers will turn from their subtle beauty to the Elm seed. Single, and surrounded by a flat, oval paper-like membrane, the seeds provide beneficial sustenance for birds and small mammals. In the fall, your American Elm’s foliage transforms to a pleasing yellow. Even in the coldest of seasons, when most trees provide little of interest, the dark grey and deeply furrowed bark of your Elm will present a pleasing feature for the winter landscape. The American Elm is a hardy tree tolerant of drought and urban conditions. It won’t cost you a lot of time or effort to maintain, and will provide many years of shade and beauty for your yard. * Fast-growing* Long-lived* Hardy

Amur Chokecherry - DetailsAmur Chokecherry - Sale Price: $96.35
The Amur Chokecherry, Prunus maackii, is a small tree that produces white flowers and black fruit, usually eaten by birds before fully ripe. This plant blooms in April and the flowers are fragrant. The outstanding exfoliating bark is golden brown to dark red with a glistening metallic color, which gives an excellent winter effect and landscape interest. Clumps will have two or more stems. It does best in moist, well-drained soil high in organic matter, but it is also moderately salt tolerant. This tree has a moderate growth rate and can be grown as a single or multi-trunked tree. Amur has a pyramidal shape when young that becomes rounded with age. Pruning out the lower branches allows the attractive bark to be more visible when in leaf. Use as a specimen tree in areas where it can be appreciated for the bark and silhouette in winter. It is ideal for the small yard because of its smaller size. Its name comes from the Amur River that flows for 1,000 miles as the natural boundary between China and Russia. Use this tree as a specimen plant, a street tree, or a patio tree. These trees with its showy bark will really standout in the winter landscape! Zones 2-6.

Double Flowering Plum - Tree Form - DetailsDouble Flowering Plum - Tree Form - Sale Price: $122.75
The Double Flowering plum, ‘Prunus triloba’ is grown in tree form. This large shrub has been trained to a head, forming at two to three feet on a single stem. A familiar sight across the northeast quadrant of the U.S in May, the Double Flowering Plum (or Rose Tree of China), puts on quite a show with its gorgeous double candy-pink flowers blanketing each branch with fat pom-poms of color. It tends toward a round shape, is a robust grower and easily rivals the annual display of Washington cherry blossoms in northern areas. From a distance, a stand of these trees looks like a pink cotton cloud; few spring-blooming trees get the reaction that this one does. The foliage is more of a grass-green than dark green, and turns to an attractive yellow-bronze color in the fall. The Double Flowering Plum can take a lot of abuse in terms of soil condition, but it does need good sun, good drainage and ample room to perform at its best. Zones 3-8.

Oklahoma Redbud - DetailsOklahoma Redbud - Sale Price: $107.05
Small Ornamental Tree with Seasonal Interest The Oklahoma Redbud is a small deciduous tree with seasonal interest.  It would look lovely in a formal setting by your patio or walkway, or scatter a few about the lawn for a more naturalized effect. Redbuds are highly prized for the amount of color they produce in the spring and fall.  Small enough to grow in a variety of locations in your yard, the Redbud is an excellent understory plant growing 15-25 feet tall with a 15-20 foot spread.   When spring arrives, your Redbud will put on quite a show.  Watch as tiny pink/red blooms seem to overpower the branches, covering them in radiant floral beauty.  Dark green and intensely shiny, the heart-shaped leaves emerge soon after.  The leaves leaf out into a rounded, irregular crown that is the Redbud’s summer glory.  Adding to that glory in your yard, 3-inch seedpods will soon appear.  The pods will remain a lovely lavender color through the summer and into the winter months. When autumn arrives, your Redbud will treat you to a variety of hues ranging from reds and purples to shades of orange.  Redbud flowers and seeds are reportedly edible, with the flowers having a somewhat nutty flavor.  Various parts of the tree have been used medicinally in the past as well.  Of course if you’re not inclined to use the Redbud seeds, your backyard birds will certainly take care of them for you. The Oklahoma Redbud takes up very little room, but offers you so much in return.  Plant one today and enjoy their rare and interesting beauty. * Spring color* Interesting seed pods* Fall color
