Penstemon - Husker Red - Sale Price: $56.95 The Penstemon ‘Husker Red’, Penstemon digitalis, is one of the most popular Penstemon in its family. Being Perennial of the Year in 1996, one can see why! Hosta - Pineapple Punch - Sale Price: $42.75 The Hosta Pineapple Punch, Hosta 'Pineapple Punch', has narrow, rippling, extremely ruffled, lance-shaped leaves that start off creamy yellow, and then turn white.  A lovely sport of Pineapple Upsidedown Cake, Pineapple Punch is medium sized with an arching mound. It displays light lavender blossoms on tall flower scapes in late summer.   Since 'Pineapple Punch' is an excellent grower, spreading from underground rhizomes, it makes an outstanding border plant or groundcover! Japanese Painted Fern - Sale Price: $42.75 The ‘Japanese Painted Fern’, Athyrium niponicum ‘Pictum', is a low maintenance, deciduous fern with soft grayish-green and silvery dark maroon foliage; has a weeping habit and exquisite foliage that appears “painted” with silver. Grass - Yaku Jima Maiden - Sale Price: $49.95 The Grass 'Yaku Jima' Maiden, Miscanthus sinensis 'Yaku Jima', is compact with fine textured foliage that turns reddish brown in the fall and remains attractive well into winter. The reddish flowers are showy but not quite as fluffy as most. 'Yaku Jima' is a slightly bigger plant than 'Adagio', but the main difference is that its leaves are even narrower, almost needle fine! Being very hardy and low growing, it tolerates a wide range of soil types; moderately drought tolerant; holds up to wind and snow. Use as a specimen, in a container, as a border, along walkways, or by the water's edge. 'Yaku Jima' prefers full sun and moist, well drained soil; a great grass for small gardens.

Astilbe - Rheinland - Sale Price: $71.35 The Astilbe ‘Rheinland’, Astilbe japonica, has striking tall, feathery blooms of clear pink that rise above the foliage, adding a light, airy quality.  It has mid green foliage, changing to green in the spring.  The flowers contrast wonderfully with the glossy foliage. Astilbe ‘Rheinland’ blooms in midsummer and is 24” tall and has a plant width of 18”. Do not allow Astilbe ‘Rheinland’ to dry out since it prefers moist, humusy, organically rich soils.  It is most successfully grown in a shady area, but can tolerate some morning sun. A moist, well-drained area is a key feature for growing a healthy plant.  In order to keep Astilbe looking good for the next year, do not cut it back in the winter, (the old foliage helps protect the plant from winter damage), but prune in early spring.
