Forsythia - Citrus Swizzle - Sale Price: $51.35 The Forsythia 'Citrus Swizzle' is an excellent variegated form of dwarf Forsythia selected by Dan Moore of McKay Nursery Company. The foliage emerges chartreuse, with lime green variegation in the center of the leaf, which then ages to a creamy white and finally white. A nice brightly colored, dwarf selection suitable for today's landscapes. Citrus Swizzle is an excellent, slow growing plant for edging or the front of the shrub or perennial border. Great used in mass plantings. Citrus Swizzle prefers a sunny location for the best leaf color, in most any soil. Little pruning is required except to remove any slightly more vigorous upright shoots, on occasion. You can remove the oldest stems to renew older plants when desired. Fall color comes on slow, and is a nice burgundy! Zones 4-9. * Dwarf!

The creamy white, flat topped flowers entirely envelop the plant in late April or May. This viburnum has one of the most effective displays of bright, orange-red fruit in early July, lasting a month before turning black in fall. It has dark, hairy leaves that create a dark background to showcase other plants.  It displays a very compact growth habit. Mohican needs regular, weekly watering, or more often in extreme heat. Dogwood - Cardinal Red Osier - Sale Price: $64.25 The Cardinal Red Osier Dogwood, Cornus sericea 'Cardinal', is a MNRC introduction. The Cardinal Red Osier Dogwood was selected for its bright red winter twig color. Cardinal Red is best grown in organically rich, medium wet to wet soils in full sun to part shade but tolerates a wide range of soils, including swampy or boggy conditions. This plant is a hybrid Dogwood that was developed by the University of Minnesota in 1986. It was an NC-7 Trials top-performing plant and it received the 2004 Plant of Merit. Tiny white flowers appear in flat-topped clusters in late spring. Flowers give way to clusters of creamy white fruit in late summer. Fruit is very attractive to birds and is generally considered to have as much if not more ornamental interest than the flowers.
