Long Blooming Groundcover Rose The Scarlet Meidiland is a groundcover rose with summer-long blooms. It would be an outstanding addition to your landscape as a foundation planting or along a walkway. Your Scarlet Meidiland is one of the most vigorous growers of the Meidiland roses. The 1 ½-inch double blooms have slightly ruffled edges and begin in June. They continue to flower throughout the summer months. The Meidiland grows to about 2 feet high, but will spread out along the ground like a 6 foot carpet of scarlet perfection. It’s an impressive sight to be sure. The continuous bright red roses will create a spectacular display in your yard and their subtle fragrance is sure to please bees, butterflies and hummingbirds that will flock to your yard for the special treat. The F. J. Grootendorst, Rosa Rugosa 'F. J. Grootendorst', displays clusters of small crimson flowers with frilled edges and they have spicy fragrance.
