Tamarisk - Summer Glow
The Summer Glow Tamarisk, Tamarix ramosissima 'Summer Glow', (Formerly called T. pentandra 'Summer Glow') displays fuzzy, hot pink flower spikes all summer and has an interesting wispy foliage effect that is lacy, silvery blue. The airy plumes of hot pink flowers rise above the foliage from early to late summer! A fast growing, rather open shrub, it reaches height of 8-10'. Summer Glow Tamarisk is very tolerant of salt conditions, especially good for the seashore, and it is one of the finest and hardiest of all Tamarix varieties! It is a very vigorous, loose and open growing tree; extremely tolerant of dry, alkaline or salty soils; grows in sun or shade.  Its fruit is not ornamentally significant, and the smooth gray bark is not particularly outstanding. To prevent dehydration and start buds to break on Tamarisk, the freshly potted plants should be trimmed back one-third and started under greenhouse conditions, that is, warmth and high humidity conditions. With its upright spreading habit of growth and extremely fine and delicate texture, .use Summer Glow Tamarisk as an outstanding accent in your landscape! * Airy pink plumes * Salt tolerant * Vigorous grower

Holly - Compact Japanese - DetailsHolly - Compact Japanese - Sale Price: $106.95
The Compact Japanese Holly, Ilex crenata 'Compacta', is a well-branched, somewhat oval-shaped, and compact shrub to 4 feet high and wide. It does well in neutral to acid soil. Plant this holly in mass groups as low shrubs, low hedges, or tall groundcovers. The compact habit of growth and small leaves make these ideal plants for use as clipped, formal hedges. Japanese Holly develops without clipping making it well suited for planting along a foundation. Plant 3 to 4 feet apart to form a hedge, plant farther apart if used in a shrub border. It shears fairly well, but will thin slightly toward the base, especially if not located in full sun. This compact holly can be sheared into various shapes. This plant is an evergreen and it is deer resistant! If you are using this plant as a hedge, clip the hedge so it is wider at the bottom. This will allow light to the bottom leaves and branches and will help keep the hedge full to the ground. Zones 6-9.
