Weeping Cherry
Fast-Growing Outstanding Ornamental The Weeping Cherry is a spectacular, fast-growing tree of uncommon beauty.  It’s small enough to fit neatly into almost any spot in your yard.  Wherever you put it though, it’s sure to become a focal point of attention for its unique, year-round characteristics. The Weeping Cherry grows 20-30 feet tall with a 20-25 foot spread.  You’ll find that it’s very easy to grow and tolerant of many conditions other trees would balk at.  It’s a popular ornamental, chosen for its manner of downward growth that seems to gently cascade toward the earth from a central crown.   When spring arrives, you’ll be astonished by the Weeping Cherry’s stunning display as a multitude of flowers seem to spill forth.  Your neighbors will share in the show as a deluge of delicate pink raindrops seem to flood over the tree’s sides in a downrush of exquisite natural beauty. When the flowers have passed, the 3-inch lance-shaped leaves will be revealed, displaying a glossy dark green color that will maintain their verdant intensity all summer long.   The fall brings even more color as yellow to red leaves adorn your tree.  Look closely to see tiny ebony fruit that is inconspicuous to you but the wildlife will definitely take notice of.   As impressive as the spring, summer and fall appearance of your tree is, some people find they appreciate the winter most.  During the winter months your tree will truly stand out amid the other landscape plantings as the bare branches trail to the ground seeming to weep at the loss of the summer sun. The Weeping Cherry is highly prized by homeowners, and it’s easy to see why.  With such outstanding qualities, hardy temperament and fast-growing nature the Weeping Cherry is a must-have for any landscape. * Outstanding ornamental qualities* Fast-growing* Hardy

Double Flowering Plum - Tree Form - DetailsDouble Flowering Plum - Tree Form - Sale Price: $122.75
The Double Flowering plum, ‘Prunus triloba’ is grown in tree form. This large shrub has been trained to a head, forming at two to three feet on a single stem. A familiar sight across the northeast quadrant of the U.S in May, the Double Flowering Plum (or Rose Tree of China), puts on quite a show with its gorgeous double candy-pink flowers blanketing each branch with fat pom-poms of color. It tends toward a round shape, is a robust grower and easily rivals the annual display of Washington cherry blossoms in northern areas. From a distance, a stand of these trees looks like a pink cotton cloud; few spring-blooming trees get the reaction that this one does. The foliage is more of a grass-green than dark green, and turns to an attractive yellow-bronze color in the fall. The Double Flowering Plum can take a lot of abuse in terms of soil condition, but it does need good sun, good drainage and ample room to perform at its best. Zones 3-8.

Showy Mountain Ash - DetailsShowy Mountain Ash - Sale Price: $121.35
Small Deciduous Tree with Ornamental Features The Showy Mountain Ash is a small, understory tree with ornamental features. Plant one as a specimen tree in your front yard, or use one as a small shade tree. Your Showy Mountain Ash is just that—showy! It grows to 30 feet in height with a 25 foot spread, and has an open, rounded crown. The leaves have a lovely, tropical appearance. The dark green leaves have grey green undersides which playfully flutter in the sunlight as it catches the contrasting shades. Spring brings six inch flat clusters of ¼-inch, five petaled flowers. The delicate, white blooms stand out like tiny white bridal bouquets amid the tree’s branches. When summer arrives, those flowers will have become orange-red fruit, providing a stunning accent to the green, tropical-look of the leaves. The berries appear in clusters on the tree, and will even persist well after the leaves have dropped for the season. Your Mountain Ash becomes more interesting with age. The smooth, grey bark of its youth will turn rough and scaly with age, giving your tree more definition and interest in the winter months after its leaves have gone. As your tree matures and its production increases, you’ll be able to experiment with the tiny berry-like fruit. They are very acidic raw, but birds and other animals love them. The fruit is also sometimes made into jelly, and parts of the tree have also been used medicinally. All in all, the Mountain Ash is a “showy” tree in any season and will be an asset for your landscape. * Spring flowers* Edible fruit* Unique foliage

Theves Poplar - DetailsTheves Poplar - Sale Price: $64.20
Fast Growing and Long Lived Poplar The Theves Poplar is a fast growing deciduous tree. Plant a few to accent the entrance of your home or perhaps post some as sentries along your driveway. They also make a wonderful privacy hedge. Your Theves Poplar can grow more than six feet in the first year! It can reach 75 feet at maturity with a 10 foot spread. It grows in a dramatic manner, with a narrow upright thrust like a spire reaching into the sky. A charming feature of your Theves Poplar is that the oval dark green leaves have a silvery underside. This creates a flashing effect in the breeze that will draw your eye from wherever you’re standing in your yard. The bark of your Theves Poplar also has an ornamental quality with its whitish hue that is especially attractive in the winter when the leaves have gone. The autumn color of your Poplar is a muted yellow that although not as spectacular as other fall colors, tends to stand out because of the tall columnar effect of the tree. Your Theves Poplar is a hybrid of the Lombardy Poplar. It’s hardier and has superior longevity to the Lombardy, living up to 80 years in some instances. It resists many more diseases and insects too, and is tolerant of many conditions. If you have allergy sufferers in your home, they’ll especially appreciate its pollen-free nature. Summit Ash - DetailsSummit Ash - Sale Price: $114.95
The Summit Ash, Fraxinus pennsylvanica 'Summit', is a vigorous selection of Green Ash that features a straight trunk and is uniformly upright in habit.  Being very hardy, it tends to color early in the fall with golden yellow color! Although reported to be a female selection, seed production has not been a problem.  It rarely is fed on by Japanese beetles.   Once developed properly in the nursery, the trunk remains straight up through the crown of the tree, and the branch habit is reported to be better than the species.  Early pruning helps assure that this happens. The attractive bark is red-tinged and furrowed, and it is reportedly thicker than other Ashes.  The tree grows quickly and can sometimes reach 80 feet in height. Summit has green to reddish-purple flowers that appear in spring.  This tree has been successfully grown in urban areas where air pollution, poor drainage, compacted soil, and/or drought are common! * Hardy * Upright habit * Fall color
