Weigela - Carnaval Carnaval Weigela, weigela florida 'Courtalor', is a beautiful shrub that produces multitudes of pink flower buds that open into shades of red, white and pink trumpet-shaped flowers. The glossy deep green leaves are heavily textured. Carnaval is an extremely showy landscape plant with a growth that measures 4-5 feet tall and 3-5 feet wide. Slowly prune the down growing branches, and it will vigorously grow upright. Carnaval is a grower favorite because it is easy to plant, easy to maintain, and easy to enjoy! It likes sandy, well drained soil under almost any conditions. It can be planted as a specimen, hedge or in groupings planted 3 feet apart. It grows best in a sunny location with moist soil. This weigela tolerates some drought.
