Astilbe - Maggie Daley
Astilbe Maggie Daley, Astilbe chinensis 'Maggie Daley', displays a profusion of showy spikes of lavender-purple panicles in mid to late summer. The fuzzy flowers are full and packed closely together.  They resemble a bouquet as they sit on top of shiny, bronze-green foliage.   'Maggie Daley' blooms later than other astilbes and grows best in rich soil that is consistently moist. Astilbes are long-lived perennials that are most comfortable when grown in rich soil and light shade to filtered sun.  They will grow in full shade, but will not bloom as prolifically. ‘Maggie Daley’ is a robust and somewhat drought resistant plant that is similar to Astilbe 'Visions'. Though they are easy to grow, Astilbes have one critical requirement--lots of water.  The plants must have consistently moist soil; dryness leads to a quick demise, especially in the sun. Fertilize Astilbes in late spring before flowering starts. Wait to cut back the old foliage until spring; it will help protect the plant from winter damage. Maggie Daley is an excellent perennial for lightly shaded areas.  Plant this dense, vigorous growing plant for additional color in the lightly shaded area of your garden.  You will be glad you did! * Robust * Easy to grow * Drought tolerant

Hosta - Blueberry Muffin - DetailsHosta - Blueberry Muffin - Sale Price: $42.75
The Hosta Blueberry Muffin, Hosta 'Blueberry Muffin', is an intense blue colored hosta that is the result of a cross between Hostas Frances Williams and Fall Bouquet.   The ‘Blueberry Muffin’ hosta forms a gorgeous mound of large, deep blue and round heavily puckered leaves; petioles are sprinkled with red specks! The leaves have ridges in unusual patterns and shift to a green color late in the season.  Hummingbirds love the lavender flowers that appear just above the foliage in early summer! A strong and reliable grower, ‘Blueberry Muffin’ hosta remains very colorful throughout the growing season.  This low care perennial is ideal for shady positions.  Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5.   High-filtered or dappled sunlight is necessary for clean, healthy growth.  Morning sun is tolerable and will help to intensify the leaf colors, but hot afternoon sun is usually deadly to hostas! ‘Blueberry Muffin’ creates a stunning accent in a shaded area with its intense color and puckered leaves! * Strong and reliable * Intense blue leaves * Large mounded habit

Coral Bells - Paris - DetailsCoral Bells - Paris - Sale Price: $56.95
Coral Bells Paris, Heuchera 'Paris', is as silvery colored as any of our minty selections.  It has striking, white-veiled sea green foliage with ruffled edges.  These leaves give rise to continuous columns of large, deep rose-colored flowers.   ‘Paris’ is a 14 mounding plant that combines the striking white-frosted green leaves with stalks of cheery rose-red flowers and repeat blooms until frost! ‘Paris’  looks especially good around the edge of borders, near variegated plants, woodland edges, rock gardens, perennial borders, or in mass to form an attractive ground cover. Coral Bells is susceptible to rot, so good drainage is essential while roots establish themselves. Cold and drought tolerant and withstanding heat and humidity, nothing seems to phase this plant.  'Paris' needs about one inch of water per week; divide clumps in fall. Heuchera adds a bit of flavor to any perennial garden with its texture, vigor, and vibrant color.  Attracting butterflies and hummingbirds, 'Paris' will surely become a “must have” as it contrasts dramatically with other colors in your garden! * Ground cover * Sea green foliage * Long lasting bloom

Dianthus - Fire and Ice - DetailsDianthus - Fire and Ice - Sale Price: $39.95
Dianthus Fire and Ice, Dianthus 'Fire and Ice', displays a rich, deep pink raspberry color.  It is a stunning and fragrant 1-1½ flower that is splashed with light pink dots and trimmed with nearly smooth cool white picotee edging. ‘Fire and Ice’ is unlike some dianthus in that it has nearly smooth edged petals.  It offers a profusion of flowers with a lovely sweet fragrance that will attract butterflies! The grey-green foliage of this dianthus, and its rounded compact habit, make it a fabulous plant for borders, in mass, or containers.  Add a layer of mulch to protect the evergreen foliage in colder climates, but once the weather becomes warmer, remove the mulch. This will prevent root rot. ‘Fire and Ice’ needs a sunny site with well-drained soil, but will tolerate some shade in the afternoon along with humidity.  Regular watering during prolonged dry spells will be necessary.  However, this plant is tolerant of short periods of dryness. The charming flowers look wonderful as a border plant, rock gardens, along walks or paths, for edging and a definite in cottage gardens. ‘Fire and Ice’ provides showers of cheerful raspberry colored flowers that are dappled in pink.  You can enjoy them in early spring, and again in early fall! * Easy to grow * Hardy * Drought tolerant
