The color of the foliage is consistent through the winter. The nice green color has just a hint of blue to it. This juniper makes an excellent ground cover and withstands heat and salt. It has long creeping feeler type branches that reminds you of starfish legs. 'Sargent' is a very hardy juniper and displays wind and drought tolerance.
