Lilac - Alexander Pink - Sale Price: $69.25 The Alexander Pink Lilac, Syringa x prestoniae 'Alexander Pink', is a nice, bright-pink late-blooming Canadian Lilac.  It is very similar in habit to ‘Royalty’ Lilac. A vigorous, non-suckering lilac, 'Alexander Pink' is extremely hardy (-45° below zero).  It needs good drainage and does best in full sun. Promptly remove faded flower panicles before seeds set, since this will increase bloom for the following year.  Prune as needed immediately after flowering. This lilac is easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun. It tolerates light shade, but best bloom quality and disease resistance occur in full sun. Each flower is openly funnel shaped. The new leaves are frosty, lime green, darkening as they age.
