Cherry Tree - Bing - DetailsCherry Tree - Bing - Sale Price: $78.50
Pick bushels of the most popular sweet cherry in your own yard. The Bing Cherry (Prunus avium ‘Bing’) is one of the finest and most famous sweet cherry varieties. The Bing Cherry tree will grow well in any yard but it does best in full sun and well drained soil. It will mature to 30-35 feet. In early spring your Bing Cherry tree will be positively glowing when it is covered in dazzling white flowers. Later in the spring and during the summer the Bing Cherry will have bright green leaves, a wonderful contrast to the deep garnet almost black fruit. Your Bing Cherry tree will produce very large delicious cherries with smooth, glossy skin. The fruit is firm, extremely juicy and particularly sweet. The cherries will be ready to harvest in mid to late June. Bing is a perfect cherry for use in baking and preserves. However, your family and friends will not be able to resist eating these mouthwatering, juicy cherries right off the tree. What a refreshing, healthy snack on a hot summer day. The Bing Cherry does require cross-pollination, so another cherry tree is needed to produce fruit. Although almost any other sweet cherry will cross-pollinate with a Bing.  We recommend the Black Tartarian, Van, Rainier or Lapins to produce a plentiful bounty of cherries. This popular, well loved cherry tree would make a great addition to any landscape. Make sure your trees are measured from the ground up! While this may sound a bit sneaky, the sad truth is some nurseries try to make their trees seem taller by including the roots in the height.  You pay for a 4 to 5 foot tree but then you’re upset when it’s barely 3 feet tall after planted. We sell our trees with the height measured from the ground up.  You can be assured when you buy a 4 to 5 foot fruit tree from Nature Hills Nursery, it will be 4 to 5 feet after you plant it.  We take pride in delivering the highest quality plants with healthy roots and full, well-established stems and foliage.  We offer the largest selection on the internet and you can buy in confidence with our one year plant guarantee. Our fruit trees are always in high demand.  Quantities are limited and many will sell out soon.  Order now to avoid disappointment.

They resist the cracking that you see with some cherry varieties and produce well, so you’ll have lots of cherries to eat and share.  Stella cherries are excellent in pies, preserves and various other dishes. They also store and freeze well. Your Stella Cherry tree is a good pollinator for other cherry varieties but doesn’t need one itself, so it’s a great cherry tree to start with, especially if you have limited space.
