Grass - Shenandoah Switch - Sale Price: $37.95 The Grass 'Shenandoah Switch Grass', Panicum virgatum 'Shenandoah', has a burgundy-red color to the foliage. This one starts out red in June, by mid-summer it looks like Bloodgrass, and in fall, it is a rich burgundy. The foliage starts out as deep green but takes on the red color thru the summer. The 4' height makes this a good choice for a specimen plant. It is one of the shortest Switch Grass varieties available. Given full sun and average soil, it is a moderate to fast grower. This plant will grow in dry to moist soils or well-drained, loamy, sandy or clay soils with a pH of a neutral to slightly alkaline. In early spring, before new growth begins, cut the old grass to the ground. If you want to divide the clump, do so in the spring. Its attributes include naturalizing, attracting birds and suitable for cut and dried flowers. A lot to love with this plant! Daylily - Elegant Explosion - Sale Price: $54.95 Hemerocallis Elegant Explosion, Hemerocallis 'Elegant Explosion', is a reblooming plant that bursts forth with an intense orange gold color.  The display is magnificent! This dynamic daylily has 4 “flowers that appear in midsummer and then again later in the season.  ‘Elegant Explosion’ has heavily ruffled, recurved petals that grow on top of branched scapes. The profusion of blooms on the scapes can add up to 22 or more buds apiece! Individual flowers last only one day, but since each plant produces many buds, the total blooming time of a well-established clump may last more than a month; attracts butterflies. It has an exceptional free flowering habit and long bloom time: from late June through September. ‘Barbara Harrington’ looks stunning when planted with climbing roses!  This clematis needs a supporting structure to grow properly but will also grow over large shrubs, over walls, cover stumps, and make perfect cover ups for unsightly service areas. Clematis is easy to grow in a rich, porous, alkaline soil with plenty of room for the roots to spread.   Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine.
