Dwarf Pampas Grass - Jet Streams - Sale Price: $64.25 The Dwarf Pampas Grass Jet Streams, Cortaderia selloana pumila 'Jet Streams', is a compact ornamental grass that is a great choice for smaller gardens.  This dwarf pampas displays beautiful, 6 foot, ivory plumes in the fall.  These plumes towers over a compact clumping grass. It is best to leave 'Jet Streams' stand over the winter before cutting it back hard in mid-spring.  ‘Jet Stream’ pampas is a very good grower and more cold hardy than the species. Feed plants in early spring and again in early fall with all-purpose fertilizer. The newly planted 'Jet Streams' requires more frequent watering than established landscape plantings, so provide moderately fertile soil with good drainage. Useful as a specimen along walls and in corners, it can thrive in hot, full sun exposures.   The showy, silvery-cream plumes feel silky to the touch and are perfect for use in dried arrangements.  ‘Jet Stream’ is low maintenance and a very impressive perennial in the landscape, even in winter! * Cold hardy * Dwarf * Compact

This sedum likes sunny to partially shaded areas of the garden. This variety of sedum forms a low carpet of small, rounded green toothed leaves that develop reddish edges during the cool fall months and it spreads easily to form a thick patch. Clusters of bright carmine pink star flowers appear in midsummer to early fall. A fast grower, it is also a good choice for tubs and mixed containers. Trim stems and dead flower heads back in early spring. Summer Glory forms a habit that is somewhat like Fulda Glow and establishes quickly. The pointed, frosty blue-green leaves are complemented by a lovely creamy margin.  Hosta 'Sleeping Beauty' is a superb grower with thick, slug resistant foliage; pale lavender blue flowers appear in mid-summer.  Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5.  Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots.  It is best to keep areas around hostas clear of excess leaf debris to reduce the presence of slugs and snails.  Plant this low care plant in an area that receives the right amount of light.  The leaves need some morning sun to bring out the best coloration; too much sun will burn the leaves. 'Sleeping Beauty'' is most at home in shady, woodland settings and often works well as specimen or edging plant.
