Peony - Festiva Maxima - Sale Price: $42.75 The Peony Festiva Maxima, Paeonia lactiflora 'Festiva Maxima' is  considered to be one of the best double flowering peonies with white blossoms and a hint of pink peaking through the center of each bloom! The flowers are very fragrant, and after blooming has finished, you are left with a beautiful mound of glossy green foliage that stays attractive all season.  Peonies are one of the best cut flowers and are often used in the Midwest to decorate gravesites on Memorial Day.  It is not uncommon to see peonies planted along the driveway or lane in a mass.  All of our peonies are widely adaptable to most soils across the country. 'Festiva Maxima' blooms in mid to late spring and has very large, colorful blooms that stand out in the spring garden.  This peony can handle dry to moist sites, and does best in full sun but can handle some light shade; prefers rich well drained soil. Water the new plant frequently to help it get off to a strong start.  More often than not, this peony will not flower the first year because it will spend the first season establishing itself! Coreopsis 'Redshift' PP20,412 adds a pop of color with a ring of red that encircles the gold button-like centers. In the cool fall, new blooms bring an unexpected shift in color that varies from pale yellow with red streaking through the petals to a solid red. 'Redshift' Coreopsis is easy to place, requiring only a sunny spot with average garden soil. It is a very heavy bloomer and cuts well. Give this plant a hard shearing to promote rebloom. Blooms June to July with some blooming until fall. Plant 'Redshift' into well-drained, lean, non-clay soils, and mix it with red or orange flowers for an outrageous display of floral fireworks. Hibiscus - Kopper King - USPP 10,793 - Sale Price: $49.95 The Hibiscus ‘Kopper King’, is the most popular variety of the Fleming Hibiscus.  Named by James Fleming himself, it has a plant height of 4’ and beautiful dinner-plate size 12” flowers! The flowers are white with red centers that fade to pink as they streak through the veination to the petal’s edge. The foliage took over 20 years to develop and refine and one can see why. Unlike most hibiscuses, ‘Kopper King’ has maple-cut, copper-red shaded leaves, with some leaves having copper on both sides. It is best to plant this Hibiscus in a full sun area, and it will tolerate most soil types.  ‘Kopper King’ looks wonderful with grasses, as a background plant or with Hibiscus ‘Old Yella’. It grows well in any fertile, well-drained soil with ample moisture. Do not allow to dry to the wilting point.  Be patient; hibiscus can be slow to emerge in spring; provide regular fertilization during this growing season.  For best performance, plant before the heat of the summer. ‘Kopper King’ is suitable for very large containers, but pots must be protected over winter.  Although the hibiscus grows tall, the need for staking is rare.  These plants will die back to ground level during the winter months.  Be careful to not over water until plants show signs of growth! Japanese Spurge - Green Sheen - Sale Price: $56.95 The Japanese Spurge 'Green Sheen', Pachysandra terminalis 'Green Sheen', has lustrous, shiny green leaves; the sheen is so impressive you think it can't be real! It is an evergreen ground cover, and the plant has a tidy habit which makes it a landscape winner.  It grows in deep shade and is ideal for using under shallow rooted trees. Maturing at a height of 12 inches, it spreads slowly to moderately fast by underground rhizomes.  'Green Sheen' prefers well drained, organically rich loam and shade.  It will tolerate some sun in northern zones, but needs shade in southern zones. 'Green Sheen' tolerates heat and humidity better than other Pachysandras.  It features tiny spikes of white flowers rising above the foliage in mid spring.  This Pachysandra will transform otherwise bare and ugly ground areas into attractive year-round cover! Geranium - Crane's Bill - Sale Price: $56.95 The Geranium 'Crane's Bill', Geranium sanguineum, is a hardy clump-forming perennial that produces rose-cerise colored flowers in late spring. (Also known as Bloody Cranesbill). This plant requires minimal care.  Providing well-drained soil is beneficial, and it is at home in almost any soil as along as its well drained. It needs to be planted in an area of full sun to partial shade and also must be cut down, after flowering, almost all the way to the ground. It is best to pinch rather heavily after flowering to encourage blooming throughout the summer.  'Crane's Bill' is actually an attractive plant all season, in or out of bloom.  The foliage is usually more distinctly cut than other geraniums, giving it a delicate appearance. 'Crane's Bill' can be a very useful weed smothering, tight knit, ground cover.   In a border or a rock garden, it is a lovely plant and striking when grown along a wall, with the stems and flowers tumbling over the edge! Geraniums are self seeding, fairly adaptable to short periods of dry conditions, and are free from pests and diseases.
