Coreopsis Star Cluster (Tickseed), Coreopsis 'Star Cluster', grows 18-24” tall, is compact, and a well-branched plant. The healthy bright green foliage of this coreopsis remains attractive all season. ‘Star Cluster’ delivers a profusion of creamy white flowers with gold button centers; has continuous and colorful blooms from early summer through early fall,  and no deadheading is necessary! This coreopsis makes an amazing colorful specimen in containers.  A generous bloomer, ‘Star Cluster’ also presents an outstanding show when planted in a mass or in front of borders. As the weather cools, a deep purple eye appears on each flower with a purple edge along each petal.  Butterflies find it irresistible and deer leave it alone. The Northern Sea Oats River Mist, Chasmanthium latifolium 'River Mist' PP# 20643, is a carefree, easy to grow grass that provides light and texture to a shaded area with its handsome green blades and dramatic white stripes. The Ajuga ‘Burgundy Glow’, Ajuga reptans, is a useful ground cover with short spikes of blue flowers. This Ajuga is one of the most popular, forming striking mounds of leaves dappled in green, pink and cream. During the wintertime, Ajuga ‘Burgundy Glow’ develops rich bronze and burgundy tones. The flowers appear in late spring on 6” spikes with a plant spread of 12-18”. ‘Burgundy Glow’ should be planted 6-9” apart for a beautiful ground cover. Ajuga ‘Burgundy Glow’ will do best in a shaded area but will adapt to morning sun. (The foliage colors will be more vivid with morning sun.) It prefers moist soil with a good drainage but will tolerate moderately dry areas. Do avoid soggy conditions. This Ajuga looks great in rock gardens, as a border plants, in mass plantings and is great for preventing erosion. It is relatively carefree; however, it can be invasive. Butterflies and hummingbirds are definitely attracted to Ajuga, not to mention being deer resistant and a low allergen. Clematis Petit Faucon, Clematis 'Petit Faucon', is an extraordinary and unique plant with unusual purple-blue flowers and a compact habit. At first the buds open to twisting petals that have bright orange-yellow stamens.  As they mature, the flowers turn to a rich blue around creamy stamens. Even in a hot, dry summer this plant continues to bloom strong! The fluffy white seed heads are beautiful and the combination of deep violet flowers and silvery seed puffs is stunning!   Petit Faucon is an extremely vigorous, free flowering, and strong growing clematis.  Early flowers appear on the previous season's growth while late summer flowers appear on new growth.  Petit Faucon blooms May-June and August-September.
