Cotoneaster - Hedge
Hedge Cotoneaster, 'Cotoneaster lucidus', is an upright shrub that withstands pruning well, and it makes an excellent hedge because of its height and clean, glossy foliage. The small pink flowers in spring are followed by small black fruit in late summer. The dark green foliage turns yellow to red in the fall. It likes full sun; prefers a moist, well-drained soil, but can tolerate dryness; is wind tolerant; tolerates alkaline soil, and somewhat tolerant of salt. Hedge Contoneaster's excellent dense screen is good for hedges, bank covers, groupings, and wildlife habitat or shelterbelt filler. The birds appreciate the bright red fruits, turning deep red/black in autumn.

The Viburnum 'Raspberry Tart', Viburnum dentatum 'Rastzam', is named for its exceptionally showy raspberry-red fall foliage. This compact dwarf selection grows to only 4 to 5 feet.  It is durable and hardy under harsh conditions, with superior winter hardiness. Rugged and adaptable, 'Raspberry Tart' is a striking, compact dwarf variety that produces showy flat-topped clusters of creamy white flowers in spring. This Viburnum is a relatively low maintenance shrub, and should only be pruned after flowering to avoid removing any of the current season's flowers. The shiny, disease resistant foliage lasts all summer, and then it shows off its outstanding raspberry-red color in the fall.  ‘Raspberry Tart’ also produces blue-black fruit which makes this a good choice for attracting birds to your yard! Highly tolerant of urban pollution, it will thrive in inner city environments, but this viburnum shouldn't be allowed to dry out. * Fall color * Hardy * Berries for wildlife

Rhododendron - Vernus - DetailsRhododendron - Vernus - Sale Price: $51.35
Rhododendron - Vernus, Rhododendron 'Vernus', is one of the earliest large-leaved rhododendrons to flower, and it buds extremely well as a young plant! The blooms on Vernus rhododendrons are beautiful, star-shaped shell pink flowers, each with a dark red blotch. The flowers measure 2 inches across and the blooms contrast nicely with the dark green foliage. Vernus is sun tolerant, vigorous, and cold hardy. It prefers partial shade and should have protection from strong winter sun and wind. It requires regular watering, particularly in hot, dry weather; established plants can benefit from fertilization. Rhododendrons are ornamental, acidic-soil loving broad-leaf evergreens and are ideal for shrub borders and informal hedges. The most favorable time to prune is when there are no flower buds in the early spring, just before growth begins. Early Flowering Rhododendron! If you have always wanted a rhododendron that flowers before other rhododendron, then this is the one you want!
