Daylily - Mallard
The Daylily Mallard, 'Hemerocallis 'Mallard', produces large clumps of long, grass-like leaves with showy clusters of scarlet-red lily-like blooms on tall stems.  The blooms are lavish and continue for several weeks or more on each plant! Trouble-free, maintenance-free, they tolerate most soils and conditions if they get at least 6 hours of sun.  Use them in a perennial border, in front of shrubbery, as an edging along a walk or wall, and in your bulb beds, where they hide the ripening foliage of tulips and daffodils. 'Mallard' needs dividing only every 10-15 years.   Daylilies are some of the easiest plants to grow and are a good choice for any gardener.  They will grow in almost any soil and handle drought to wet soil conditions. Planted together in large numbers, they quickly crowd out weeds and make a carefree and colorful ground cover. Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement that is salted in winter, and under Black Walnut trees (not affected by juglone). An absolute must have in any garden! * Trouble free * Lavish blooms * Easy to grow

Clematis - Niobe - DetailsClematis - Niobe - Sale Price: $44.95
The Clematis ‘Niobe’, Jackmanii x group, has dark red petals with gold anthers that blooms in June to July and range in height of 6-10’ and has a spread of 3’. The red flowers are approximately 6-8” wide.  Clematis ‘Niobe’ received the Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society and one can see why! The prominent dark red flowers of this clematis are outstanding and bloom heavily from late spring to late summer. The foliage is dark green and makes a great contrast with the flower color. Clematis prefers full sun but will tolerate shade in the morning in a well-drained area.  It is best to avoid heavy pruning on this perennial until it is fully established.   Clematis ‘Niobe’ needs a supporting structure to grow properly but will also grow over large shrubs.  The tops of Clematis prefer full sun while their roots prefer a cool, shady area. It is best to heavily mulch the root zone to provide this cool, shady area. (Restricted States: AK, AZ, CA, FL, HI, OR, OT, WA) With its velvety petals and vigorous growing habit, this is a “must have” clematis! * Vigorous grower * Dark foliage * Heavy bloomer

Hosta - Minuteman - DetailsHosta - Minuteman - Sale Price: $56.95
Hosta Minuteman, Hosta 'Minuteman', has bold creamy white margins on thick dark green leaves, which makes this Hosta a real knockout! The dark green center, with erect leaves, makes this a very eye catching and handsome mound.  Pale lavender striped flowers are an added bonus, and this hosta demonstrates good sun tolerance. 'Minuteman' is a selection from Hosta 'Francee' and an improvement over the very popular Hosta 'Patriot'; however, the white margin does not go as deep into the leaf.   This is a low care perennial and is ideal for shady positions and is one of the most popular for landscapes.  It is best to keep areas around hostas clear of excess leaf debris to reduce the presence of slugs and snails. It grows well in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5.  Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots. Plant 'Minuteman' in an area that receives the right amount of light.  The leaves need some morning sun to bring out the best coloration; too much sun will burn the leaves, although 'Minuteman' has some sun tolerance. This 'Minuteman' Hosta is an outstanding addition to any garden! * Mounded habit * Thick leaves * Good sun tolerance

False Indigo - Twilite Prairiebluesâ„¢ - DetailsFalse Indigo - Twilite Prairiebluesâ„¢ - Sale Price: $39.95
False Indigo Twilite Prairieblues, Baptisia 'Twilite Prairieblues™' PPAF, is an amazing, vigorous and strong growing hybrid of Baptisia australis and Baptisia sphaerocarpa.  This new color breakthrough is the result of extensive breeding efforts at the Chicago Botanical Garden. By the third year 'Twilite Prairieblues™' PPAF produces almost 100 flower spikes of unique deep pea-like violet-purple flowers, highlighted by a dramatic lemon-yellow keel.  Held above the handsome blue-green foliage, the inflorescences can be up to 32 inches long!  When 'Twilite Prairieblues™' is not in bloom, this plant remains attractive because of the lovely blue-green colored leaves it displays, especially throughout the spring season! It is a good, vigorous grower, extremely long lived, and destined to become a favorite in the garden.  The Baptisia looks attractive by itself, against walls and fences, or combined in the back of a border with other June bloomers.   Full sun is best for the most successful flowering and performance.  It grows well in average to dry soil but adapts to most conditions.   'Twilite Prairieblues™' has a very deep tap root, giving it the ability to survive long dry periods and making it a challenge to move once it is established.  The plant can be cut back after flowering to encourage a flush of new blue-green growth.  It is deer resistant. 'Twilite Prairieblues™ has the most attractive foliage of a Baptisia, and it does take a couple of years to really get going! * Favorite * Drought tolerant * Impressive flowers
