Silver Mound - Sale Price: $42.75 The Artemisia ‘Silver Mound’, Artemisia schmidtiana, is a wonderful soft, silky, silver-gray accent that is useful in many gardens. ‘Silver Mound’ is a non-spreader and produces small yellow flowers. It has a plant height of 4-5' and wonderful 10 dinner plate-sized, 5-petaled, hollyhock-like flowers blooms.  Individual flowers are very short-lived (usually one day), but one or more flowers usually open each day, and this continues in succession from midsummer to early fall! Its foliage is of heavy substance and is corrugated, making it slug resistant.  On a mature plant, the smooth, heart-shaped leaves form an upright mound 45” across.  'Lakeside Beach Captain' is topped in late spring with 20 scapes of near white flowers and is a dynamite specimen plant! Grass - Shenandoah Switch - Sale Price: $37.95 The Grass 'Shenandoah Switch Grass', Panicum virgatum 'Shenandoah', has a burgundy-red color to the foliage. This one starts out red in June, by mid-summer it looks like Bloodgrass, and in fall, it is a rich burgundy. The foliage starts out as deep green but takes on the red color thru the summer. The 4' height makes this a good choice for a specimen plant. It is one of the shortest Switch Grass varieties available. Given full sun and average soil, it is a moderate to fast grower. This plant will grow in dry to moist soils or well-drained, loamy, sandy or clay soils with a pH of a neutral to slightly alkaline. In early spring, before new growth begins, cut the old grass to the ground. If you want to divide the clump, do so in the spring.
