Daylily - Super Honor
Daylily - Super Honor Hemerocallis Super Honor, Hemerocallis 'Super Honor', has a robust fragrance and symmetrical flower with frilly ruffled petals. The large 6 purple flowers appear in late July above slender but strong scapes. ‘Super Honor’ flowers open flat to reveal a large lemon-lime throat surrounded by a darker purple band on the petals; petals also display darker purple veining. This very dramatic daylily has an exemplary plant habit and can stand the heat of summer; opens well under varying weather conditions which can occur in summer! Individual flowers last only one day, but since each plant produces many buds, the total blooming time of a well-established clump may last more than a month; attracts butterflies. Use 'Super Honor' daylily for color in shrub borders and in perennial beds. Once established, the daylily can be an excellent groundcover on slopes because it has roots that hold soil against erosion. ‘Super Honors’ also makes a beautiful floral arrangement. Divide every 3-5 years, or when the number of flower buds and the size of bloom begin to decline. Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement that is salted in winter, and under Black Walnut trees (not affected by juglone). No other Daylily equals the majesty of 'Super Honor'! It is one of the most dramatic daylilies you can have in your garden! * Long blooming * Fragrant * Dramatic and durable
