Red Mulberry - DetailsRed Mulberry - Sale Price: $85.65
Carefree Tree with Delicious Fruit The Red Mulberry is a fruit-bearing tree that is not only lovely, but useful to both humans and wildlife.  The most attractive feature of this tree is the fruit it produces.  Look closely in the spring and you’ll notice small, green catkin-like spikes amid your Mulberry’s branches.  These will soon turn into the raspberry-like berries that you’ve been waiting for.  Each berry is a fascinating site to behold as it transforms through deepening shades of red then to a deep purple. When you step outside in the morning, you’ll likely hear the chirps and cheeps of the neighborhood birds filling your Mulberry tree as they share in the bounty.    Mulberries can be eaten directly from your tree, or save some for pies, preserves and wine.  They’re a delicious sweet treat on a summer day.   Your Mulberry has a rounded crown and grows to about 50 feet.  The 5 inch oblong, toothed dark green leaves are particularly interesting because each tree can have several different shaped leaves.  When fall approaches, the leaves turn a lively yellow to brighten your yard.   A Red Mulberry tree is an essential addition to any yard where an easy-to-care-for fruit tree is desired.  Simply plant and wait…soon you’ll have a beautiful tree and delicious harvest for yourself and wildlife.   * Care-free tree * Edible fruit * Attractive to wildlife

Chickasaw Plum - DetailsChickasaw Plum - Sale Price: $89.95
The Chickasaw Plum tree, Prunus angustifolia, is a deciduous multi-stemmed shrub or small tree which occurs in thickets, pastures, fields, fencerows, stream banks and disturbed areas. Chickasaw Plum trees are sometimes seen as a small short-trunked tree growing to 25' tall.  Beautiful 5-petaled white flowers appear along the stems in March before the foliage emerges.   The flowers are followed by small, cherry-like, edible, red to yellow plums which ripen in early to mid summer.  Although the plums may be eaten raw, they are somewhat tart and acidic, and are perhaps best used in preserves and jellies. Native Americans regularly consumed the fruit fresh or dried it for winter.  The sweet fruit is eaten by deer, bear, fox and raccoon. The toothed, narrow, bright green leaves (1-3 long) appear on branches and twigs that are an attractive reddish-brown and sometimes have thorny lateral branchlets.  The flowering Chickasaw Plum is a true ornamental! * Multi-stemmed ornamental * Food for wildlife * White spring flowers

Oklahoma Redbud - DetailsOklahoma Redbud - Sale Price: $107.05
Small Ornamental Tree with Seasonal Interest The Oklahoma Redbud is a small deciduous tree with seasonal interest.  It would look lovely in a formal setting by your patio or walkway, or scatter a few about the lawn for a more naturalized effect. Redbuds are highly prized for the amount of color they produce in the spring and fall.  Small enough to grow in a variety of locations in your yard, the Redbud is an excellent understory plant growing 15-25 feet tall with a 15-20 foot spread.   When spring arrives, your Redbud will put on quite a show.  Watch as tiny pink/red blooms seem to overpower the branches, covering them in radiant floral beauty.  Dark green and intensely shiny, the heart-shaped leaves emerge soon after.  The leaves leaf out into a rounded, irregular crown that is the Redbud’s summer glory.  Adding to that glory in your yard, 3-inch seedpods will soon appear.  The pods will remain a lovely lavender color through the summer and into the winter months. When autumn arrives, your Redbud will treat you to a variety of hues ranging from reds and purples to shades of orange.  Redbud flowers and seeds are reportedly edible, with the flowers having a somewhat nutty flavor.  Various parts of the tree have been used medicinally in the past as well.  Of course if you’re not inclined to use the Redbud seeds, your backyard birds will certainly take care of them for you. The Oklahoma Redbud takes up very little room, but offers you so much in return.  Plant one today and enjoy their rare and interesting beauty. * Spring color* Interesting seed pods* Fall color
