This low-growing, spreading perennial plant is a woody ground cover. Astilbe - Rheinland - Sale Price: $71.35 The Astilbe ‘Rheinland’, Astilbe japonica, has striking tall, feathery blooms of clear pink that rise above the foliage, adding a light, airy quality.  It has mid green foliage, changing to green in the spring.  The flowers contrast wonderfully with the glossy foliage. Astilbe ‘Rheinland’ blooms in midsummer and is 24” tall and has a plant width of 18”. Do not allow Astilbe ‘Rheinland’ to dry out since it prefers moist, humusy, organically rich soils.  It is most successfully grown in a shady area, but can tolerate some morning sun.
