Hydrangea - Cherry Bomb - Sale Price: $92.75 Hydrangea Cherry Bomb, Hydrangea macrophylla 'Cherry Bomb', is a red lace cap variety of hydrangea. Cherry Bomb Hydrangea is an attractive and very free-flowering shrub with blooms lasting from midsummer to fall. It is a compact shrub with wrinkled, dense green foliage. The foliage provides outstanding fall colors from burgundy to purples. As a young plant it is best to prune or pinch your plant in order to build a full bodied, well branched plant. Then selectively prune out any dead stems, or old non-flower producing stems. The flower buds form in later summer and then flower the next year in early to mid summer, in other words, the best time to prune is after it blooms, from mid-July to mid-August.

Spiraea - Goldflame - Sale Price: $51.35 The Spiraea ‘Gold Flame’, Spiraea x bumalda, is a dense, upright, compact, mounded deciduous shrub which typically grows to 2-4' tall, with a similar spread.  The narrow leaves emerge in spring in shades of copper, rust, and yellow, turning to a medium green during summer, and then becoming a brilliant flame color in the fall. Lovely pink flowers bloom profusely in small corymbs and cover the arching stems of this plant in late spring; attracts butterflies. The flowers and leaves all appear on the same side of the arching branches! It has no serious insect or disease problems, and is effective in borders, foundation plantings or hedges. ‘Goldflame’ is easily grown in average, medium wet, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade.   Tolerates a wide range of soils and is easy to grow.  This spirea should be pruned in late winter to early spring. Hydrangea - Late Panicle - Sale Price: $49.95 The Hydrangea 'Late Panicle', Hydrangea paniculata 'Tardiva', this shrub has white airy flowers that can reach 10-12 in length in late August. The flowers are a mixture of sterile and fertile flowers which gives the flowers less density and less likelihood to tip or droop. Flowers will turn bronze in fall. The flower heads will stay on the plant during much of the winter if conditions are not severe.  These shrubs are fast growing and are great for informal     screens, specimen plants, or for cut arrangements. Cut the flower heads when they are fully open and hang to dry in a warm, airy place. You may prune every year in the fall after blooming, no more than 1/3 of the plant.
