Clematis - Fireworks - Sale Price: $42.75 Clematis Fireworks, Clematis 'Fireworks', explodes into color with beautiful 8 bluish purple flowers with glowing cerise central bars. The petals have a slight twist to them and are slightly recurved at the tips. This clematis will rebloom again in late summer with smaller 6 flowers. An outstanding variety with a vigorous growth habit, this clematis is best grown in a protected area to prevent wind damage to the very large flowers.   ‘Fireworks’ was Awarded Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Merit. Clematis 'Fireworks' needs a supporting structure to grow properly but will also grow over large shrubs, over walls, cover stumps, and make perfect cover ups for unsightly service areas. Penstemon - Husker Red - Sale Price: $56.95 The Penstemon ‘Husker Red’, Penstemon digitalis, is one of the most popular Penstemon in its family. Being Perennial of the Year in 1996, one can see why! The pointed, frosty blue-green leaves are complemented by a lovely creamy margin.  Hosta 'Sleeping Beauty' is a superb grower with thick, slug resistant foliage; pale lavender blue flowers appear in mid-summer.  Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5.  Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots.  It is best to keep areas around hostas clear of excess leaf debris to reduce the presence of slugs and snails.  Plant this low care plant in an area that receives the right amount of light.  The leaves need some morning sun to bring out the best coloration; too much sun will burn the leaves.
