Hosta - Tropical Dancer
Hosta - Tropical Dancer The Hosta Tropical Dancer, Hosta 'Tropical Dancer', puts on a colorful show with its heart-shaped wavy green leaves. These elongated leaves are trimmed with creamy white margins that are tightly ruffled and serrated; margins brighten to white later in the season. Forming a broad showy clump in the garden, ‘Tropical Dancer’ is a strong grower and produces lavender flowers on upright scapes in the summer. Plant this low care plant in an area that receives the right amount of light. The leaves need some morning sun to bring out the best coloration; too much sun will burn the leaves. ‘Tropical Dancer’ is most at home in shady, woodland settings and often works well as specimen or edging plant. Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5. Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots. It is best to keep areas around hostas clear of excess leaf debris to reduce the presence of slugs and snails. With its great form and ruffled, wavy leaves, this ‘Tropical Dancer’ hosta almost seems to be in motion! * Heart shaped leaves * Clumping habit * Superb grower

| Hibiscus - Kopper King - USPP 10,793 - Sale Price: $49.95 The Hibiscus ‘Kopper King’, is the most popular variety of the Fleming Hibiscus. Named by James Fleming himself, it has a plant height of 4’ and beautiful dinner-plate size 12” flowers! The flowers are white with red centers that fade to pink as they streak through the veination to the petal’s edge. The foliage took over 20 years to develop and refine and one can see why. Unlike most hibiscuses, ‘Kopper King’ has maple-cut, copper-red shaded leaves, with some leaves having copper on both sides. It is best to plant this Hibiscus in a full sun area, and it will tolerate most soil types. ‘Kopper King’ looks wonderful with grasses, as a background plant or with Hibiscus ‘Old Yella’. It grows well in any fertile, well-drained soil with ample moisture. Do not allow to dry to the wilting point. Be patient; hibiscus can be slow to emerge in spring; provide regular fertilization during this growing season. For best performance, plant before the heat of the summer. ‘Kopper King’ is suitable for very large containers, but pots must be protected over winter. Although the hibiscus grows tall, the need for staking is rare. These plants will die back to ground level during the winter months. Be careful to not over water until plants show signs of growth!
