Hydrangea - Silver Dollar
Hydrangea - Silver Dollar The Hydrangea Silver Dollar, Hydrangea paniculata 'Silver Dollar', is small but mighty with large, lacy creamy white incredible blooms in late summer; dense trusses of creamy-white flowers open from the base of the spike; strong stems hold flowers upright. Silver Dollar is a smaller growing selection of Peegee Hydrangea, but produces a huge amount of blooms. Only about 4-5' tall and wide, it puts on a stunning show, and Silver Dollar will soon become one of your favorites! To enhance flowering, prune hard in early spring before growth starts. Cut back the previous season's shoots to within a few buds of the permanent, woody framework of the plant; keep moist, so water when necessary. The flower heads make excellent dried flower arrangements. This hardy hydrangea produces a handsome shrub for a sunny border or as an accent plant.
