Hydrangea - Citylineâ„¢ Berlin - Sale Price: $39.95 Hydrangea - Cityline™ Berlin, Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Berlin Rabe’ (PP 10,912), is the largest and fastest growing plant in the Cityline series. Snowgoose Mock Orange is a fountain-like, deciduous shrub with fragrant, white, late spring or early summer flowers that cover the plant by June. The foliage is dark green. An old fashioned favorite, 'Snowgoose' is at home in the shrub border. Give it ample room for its arching branches. Remove oldest branches (back to ground) right after plant has finished flowering. Cut out the old wood and any suckering found at the base. It is a reliable and absolutely maintenance-free shrub. The Mock Orange has a very memorable scent. 'Lucy' bears double red-pink flowers from late summer until mid-fall. This plant really requires no pruning, unless you need to remove a dead or damaged branch. It has a long, early summer to fall bloom period. This cultivar is a sterile triploid that produces very few if any seed pods. It is an excellent flowering shrub that may be massed, planted in groups, or used as a specimen. The plant is very tolerant of summer heat and humidity. Larger flowers may be obtained by pruning back hard to 2-3 buds in early spring. Otherwise, prune to shape.
