Mason bees are native to most areas of North America and are attracted to holes to begin their nesting. Easy-Tear straws are designed to help you easily raise your mason bees. A portion of your straws should be opened in the fall to help you see the health of your mason bees. Mounting screws, instructions, and tips on where best to place your starter home are included. Mason bees sold separately. Blue orchard mason bees are becoming an increasingly popular pollinator for backyard gardens and commercial orchards. These insects are wonderful pollinators of apple, cherry, pear, nectarine, and Asian pear, and they gather pollen from anything in bloom between March through early June.
