Mason Bees
Blue orchard mason bees are becoming an increasingly popular pollinator for backyard gardens and commercial orchards. These insects are wonderful pollinators of apple, cherry, pear, nectarine, and Asian pear, and they gather pollen from anything in bloom between March through early June. The orchard mason bee is easy to care for, non aggressive, and highly educational! Unlike honeybees, the mason bee isn’t affected by colony collapse. Orchard mason bees are native to much of North America. We are selling a limited amount of bees native to states west of the Rockies. One order contains 10 A+ grade Dormant Blue Orchard Bees in release straws. NOTE: These bees should not be released east of the Rockies.
