The principals behind growing a great lawn organically are simple. The most important element of a healthy lawn is the soil. A healthy soil grows healthy plants. When you apply Healthy Grow Lawn Food, you are feeding the soil with not only the essential nutrients for healthy turf, you are also adding an abundance of organic matter. This organic matter will aid in reducing your water needs and suppressing disease by the addition of beneficial micro-organisms which immediately begin to multiply and start to reduce thatch and break down other minerals and organic matter into more nutrients for the turf to utilize. Over time, having a natural lawn will result in reduced maintenance, less pollution, and lush, thriving turf. Application: Organic Healthy Grow Lawn Food may be applied at any time. Apply to a dry, recently mowed lawn. If no rain is expected for a prolonged period, improved results may be obtained by watering it in. Apply at the regular rate of 12.5 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. or a heavier rate of 20 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. The higher rate can be most beneficial in late fall after the lawn has been aerated. When seeding or sodding, apply at the 12.5 lb. rate under the sod or over the new seed. Storage: Healthy Grow Lawn Food has an unlimited shelf life, but must be kept dry.
