The active ingredient in Sluggo® is 1% iron phosphate, which is an organic compound that breaks down into fertilizer for your garden or yard. Sluggo is OMRI Listed for organic use, yet it kills slugs and snails just as effectively as chemical poisons. Sluggo attracts slugs and snails, luring them from their hiding places in the yard. Once slugs and snail ingest even a small amount of Sluggo, they cease feeding immediately and will die within three to six days. (Dead slugs and snails may not be visible as they often crawl away to secluded places to die.) Plant protection will be observed in the decrease in plant damage. Sluggo remains effective after rainfall and irrigation. Simply scatter the bait in evenings around plants to protect your garden and yard from the damage caused by snails and slugs.
