Spiderwort - Concord Grape
Spiderwort - Concord Grape The Spiderwort 'Concord Grape', Tradescantia ‘Concord Grape’, has dark bluish-green foliage with purple flowers. The flowers open for one day but new blooms appear from June to October. With a plant height of 18” and a spread of 18-24”, it is one that should not be missed. Deadhead after the first flowering to prolong its blooming time. Tradescantia ‘Concord Grape’ should be planted in a sunny area. It will tolerate some morning shade with well-drained soil. It will accept damp soil but should not be over watered. ‘Concord Grape’ mixes beautifully with wild and naturalistic woodlands, in any perennial bed or as a border plant and attracts butterflies. Try ‘Concord Grape’ with Geranium ‘Johnson’s Blue’ or Alchemilla ‘Lady’s Mantle’ for color contrasts. Clumps may be divided in early spring. * Attracts Butterflies * Long Bloom Period
