Spirea - White Flashâ„¢
The Spirea White Flash, Spiraea 'White Flash', is a compact Spireas cultivar that is a very dense plant that is small and shrubby, and is topped off with sparkling white blooms in late spring to fall. With its green foliage and mounding habit, ‘White Flash’ makes a great choice for mass plantings or a landscape border.  It grows 2-3 feet high and as wide.  Choose this charming spirea for those smaller, sunny spaces in your yard! Spirea plants are among the easiest shrubs to grow.  A beautiful and tough plant, it is a member of the rose family. ‘White Flash’ prefers full sun in open areas for best flowering, but will tolerate some light shade. Add mulch and provide consistent watering to maintain a healthy plant.  Deadhead flowers to stimulate growth.

The Vernal Witch-hazel, Hamamelis vernalis, is a deciduous, winter-blooming shrub, with a rounded habit which typically grows 6-10' tall with a somewhat larger spread. The Golden Guinea Kerria, Kerria japonica 'Golden Guinea', is a tough, upright, rounded shrub that will brighten up your sun or shade border. The Spirea 'Japanese White', Spiraea albiflora, has bright green foliage, topped by heavy clusters of white blooms at the end of the branches. Japanese White is covered with flat clusters of white flowers in June, and again off and on all summer, especially if the old flowers are pruned. This beautiful spreading garden shrub is low growing and exhibits a rounded form.  Japanese Whites are effective in mixed shrub plantings, low borders or when clumped together. Spireas grow in sun or partial shade and are great in shrub groupings, near buildings, and low hedges. Japanese White blooms on new wood, and is best pruned in early spring or late winter once the threat of extreme cold has passed.  The fall foliage color is reddish-purple.
