Weigela - French Laceâ„¢ French Lace™ Weigela, weigela florida 'Brigela' (PP12,666), is a new weigela that has an abundant amount of ruby-red flowers blooming in summer. Striking lime-yellow leaf margins on green leaves provide a dramatic backdrop for these ruby-red flowers. The foliage of French Lace™ has orange and red overtones in fall. This weigela is a real stand-out in the garden, and has an awesome effect when planted in mass. It forms a rounded shrub that grows 4-5 feet tall and as wide. This large upright form makes an ideal high profile accent plant. French Lace™ is equally suited for the background of perennial beds or to cloak unattractive fence lines. This weigela is also good as a shrub border, foundation or specimen plant. A deciduous shrub, it requires full sun. | Holly - Blue Prince - Sale Price: $56.45 Holly - Blue Prince, Ilex x meserveae 'Blue Prince', has shiny, deep lustrous hardy blue-green leaves that contribute to this variety's excellent form all season. Use as a pollinator for 'Blue Princess'. 'Blue Prince' and 'Blue Princess' need to be planted near each other in order to produce fruit; one 'Blue Prince' will pollinate many female hollies. Blue Prince makes a fantastic, thick hedge, growing to a maximum height of about 15', but can easily be pruned to a lower height. It needs good drainage and a rich, acid soil. Hollies are good companions for rhododendrons and azaleas, and they accept sun or partial shade. Some protection from winter winds and bright winter sun is preferred. | Mugho Pine - Pumilo - Sale Price: $39.95 Mugho Pine - Pumilo, Pinus mugo 'Pumilio', is a popular dwarf conifer that is rugged, hardy and has dark green needles on dense branches; makes an ideal choice for xeriscaping or for the moisture-conserving landscape. Pumilo is a useful slow growing evergreen for rock gardens, mass plantings and in groupings; a great container plant too. In order for it to maintain its excellent form, texture, and color detail in the garden, this Dwarf Mugo Pine needs full sun and prefers dry to average moisture levels with very well-drained soil. It will die in standing water. Prune candles to keep tight and maintain a dense habit of growth. It tends to fill out right to the ground so doesn't necessarily require facer plants in front. Mugho Pine is highly tolerant of urban pollution and will even thrive in inner city environments. This is a rather low maintenance shrub and if pruning is necessary, it is recommended to only trim back the new growth of the current season, other than to remove any dieback.
