Jonagold Apple has a superb flavor - a connoisseurs' choice because it has excellent cooking properties. It is a cross of Jonathan and Golden Delicious. The Jonagold apple is yellow with red-orange blush. The tree is handsome, sturdy, vigorous and spreading; annually productive. The apples ripen from mid-September to late October, depending on the location. This apple needs 700-800 hours of chilling. It will store in the refrigerator for three months.
