Beautyberry - Variegated Duet - Sale Price: $106.95 The Beautyberry Variegated Duet, Callicarpa dichotoma 'Duet', is very easy to grow and because of its arching habit, it looks great with other perennials and shrubs. Duet has narrow leaves that are edged in yellow, which age to creamy white by late summer. Clusters of white pea-like flowers appear at the ends of the branches from early to mid-summer, but they are rather inconspicuous. In September the plant is then adorned with masses of chalky white berry clusters. You can grow Duet in both moist and dry soils in light shade, with the end result being a simply superb plant! After the leaves have dropped in fall, the berries continue to hang on for several weeks. This shrub makes a three-season plant because of its amazing foliage and berries. Although technically an evergreen shrub, the Jim Dandy does loose a majority of its leaves in cooler zones. Holly shrubs are often grown for their showy, red berries in the winter, but keep in mind that only female plants produce the berries (and their must be a male cultivar present). The Jim Dandy is a male cultivar that is a great pollinizer for female cultivars such as the 'Red Sprite' and 'Berry Heavy.' Spring Green’s foliage emerges reddish and ages to a glossy dark green.  The white flowers are very attractive, and somewhat fragrant. It produces orange fruit, which persists into winter, and then displays a stunning red fall color.  'Spring Green' does best in moist, well-drained, loamy soils, but will tolerate less than ideal conditions and heavier clay soils.
