The Brilliance Fern, 'Dryopteris 'Brilliance', is a new colorful and more brilliant form of the Autumn Fern. The young fronds of the cultivars are showy and orange. The fronds hold their glossy green sheen at maturity. The growth habit is identical to the Autumn, but as a whole, it is dramatically more showy.  Its new growth is a brighter red, and its coloring last longer. This fern is a great addition to the fern garden. The Brilliance Fern is an evergreen fern and is slow-spreading.  It’s easy to grow and is surprisingly drought tolerant once established in a garden. Requiring little care, it will thrive in many locations that discourage fussier plants. The Hosta ‘Patriot’, Hosta fortunei, has heart-shaped, glossy medium green leaves with a large white margin, making this variety very striking! The Hosta flowers bloom from July to August, and it has a plant height of 22” and a spread of 36-48”.   ‘Patriot’ provides bright color in shade with its wonderful foliage. Hosta ‘Patriot’ was the American Hosta Growers’ Hosta of the Year in 1997.  If you have ever seen it, you will know why; it literally brings light to shade! This is a low care perennial and is ideal for shady positions and is one of the most popular for landscapes.  It is best to keep areas around hostas clear of excess leaf debris to reduce the presence of slugs and snails. Yarrow - Terra Cotta - DetailsYarrow - Terra Cotta - Sale Price: $35.65
The Yarrow ‘Terra Cotta’, Achillea 'Terra Cotta', is an upright salmon pink with flowers that age to rusty terracotta orange. The flowers bloom from June through September. With silvery foliage, it is beautiful when planted in front of dark foliaged perennials or mixed with blue flowers. The flower heads are 3-4” wide, with a spread of 18-24” and a height of 36”. ‘Terra Cotta’ Yarrow is excellent for cuttings, fresh or dried, in mass plantings or as a border plant. Terra Cotta is inclined to spread, so site this carefully. This Yarrow can tolerate poor soil conditions, but does best in lean, dry to medium wet, well-drained soil. (Avoid heavy clays and moist, rich, fertile soils.) Yarrow should be planted in full sun and is tolerant to hot humid summers. Remove faded flowers to encourage more growth and divide every 3-4 years. Use this plant in borders, containers, mass plantings, or in rock gardens.
