As the 5 flowers mature the color becomes even more intense. Very free flowering and one of our favorites! Compact grower; great for containers, balconies and small gardens.  Groom this clematis after flowering by cutting back the top one-third to one-half of some stems. This encourages new growth for possible summer bloom.
