Clematis - Purpurea Plena Elegans - Sale Price: $42.75 Clematis Purpurea Plena Elegans, Clematis viticella 'Purpurea Plena Elegans', has double reddish-purple 3 flowers that bloom profusely throughout the season. This elegant variety is very carefree and disease resistant. It thrives in full sun, but will grow in almost any location.  It was awarded Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit! 'Purpurea Plena Elegans' needs a supporting structure to grow properly.  Clematis is easy to grow in a rich, porous, alkaline soil with plenty of room for the roots to spread.
