Coreopsis - Route 66 - Sale Price: $39.95 The Coreopsis 'Route 66', Coreopsis verticillata 'Route 66', was discovered in 2005 by Patti Bauer. This new threadleaf coreopsis bears big, bold yellow flowers with a rich ring of burgundy around the crown that bleeds out to the tips of each petal. The narrow, deep-green foliage forms vigorous, uniform clumps. It is easily grown in dry to medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun. 'Route 66' performs well in poor, sandy or rocky soils with good drainage; tolerant of heat, humidity and drought. It is effective in borders, naturalized areas, wild gardens, or cottage gardens.  Cut back in late summer to encourage regrowth and rebloom.
