Northern Gold Forsythia, Forsythia 'Northern Gold', is an upright growing shrub that produces its showy golden yellow flowers in early spring with spectacular flower color and bud hardiness. It’s beautiful dark green summer foliage creates an outstanding plant that is reliably hardy in the North. So you in the northern zones can now have these harbingers of spring grace your landscapes! Northern Gold requires full sun, decent soil and lots of room to grow. They can be successfully used as solitary accents, in groups of three, or massed together as a tall hedge or barrier. Place them in the landscape where they will command attention with their golden flowers. Prune after flowering to maintain a better form and shape. It grows 6 to 8 feet and has a width of 5 to 7 feet. * Zones 3-8 * Great as a hedge!

The Spring Green Compact Cranberrybush Viburnum, Viburnum trilobum 'Spring Green', has an outstanding compact form that can be easily maintained to 4 feet in height. Spring Green’s foliage emerges reddish and ages to a glossy dark green.  The white flowers are very attractive, and somewhat fragrant. It produces orange fruit, which persists into winter, and then displays a stunning red fall color.  'Spring Green' does best in moist, well-drained, loamy soils, but will tolerate less than ideal conditions and heavier clay soils. Pruning allows this shrub to maintain its natural shape while encouraging the development of new wood. It does not tolerate prolonged drought or dense shade.  It makes an excellent low hedge or specimen plant.  It is less formal than other compact selections.
