Hosta - Sleeping Beauty - Sale Price: $39.95 Hosta Sleeping Beauty, Hosta 'Sleeping Beauty', is a sport of the award winning Hosta 'Halcyon' and is one of our favorites! The pointed, frosty blue-green leaves are complemented by a lovely creamy margin.  Hosta 'Sleeping Beauty' is a superb grower with thick, slug resistant foliage; pale lavender blue flowers appear in mid-summer.  Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5.  Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots.  It is best to keep areas around hostas clear of excess leaf debris to reduce the presence of slugs and snails.  Plant this low care plant in an area that receives the right amount of light.  The leaves need some morning sun to bring out the best coloration; too much sun will burn the leaves. 'Sleeping Beauty'' is most at home in shady, woodland settings and often works well as specimen or edging plant. Daylily - Chicago Orchid - Sale Price: $49.95 The Daylily 'Chicago Orchid', Hemerocallis 'Chicago Orchid', is a favorite summer blooming perennial with large clumps of long grass-like leaves with showy clusters of orchid lily-like flowers on tall stems. A midseason bloomer, this 'Chicago Orchid' plant produces several flower stalks with up to a dozen buds.  The buds open in series, but a flower lasts only a day, giving the plant its common name, Daylily! Daylily - Strawberry Candy - Sale Price: $49.95 The Hemerocallis ‘Strawberry Candy’, also known as a Daylily, has a wonderful color of a strawberry-pink blend with a rosy-red eye zone, a golden green throat, and ruffled edges.
