The Honeysuckle Bush Cool Splash, Diervilla sessilifolia 'Cool Splash', features attractive, horizontally branched stems with glowing white and dark green variegated leaves that provides a colorful garden accent. The best foliage variegation occurs in full sun. The yellow trumpet flowers appear along the branches in early summer. Cool Splash Bush Honeysuckle is a dense multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with a shapely form and gracefully arching branches. It is best to prune in late winter, once the threat of extreme cold has passed. A good choice for attracting butterflies and hummingbirds, Cool Splash can be used as a hedge or in mass planting or in containers.
