Hosta - Remember Me - Sale Price: $39.95 Hosta Remember Me, Hosta 'Remember Me', is named in honor of Sandy De Boer, a former employee of Walters Gardens Inc. who died of breast cancer in 2001.  Walters Gardens Inc. makes a donation for every plant sold of 'Remember Me' to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Hosta 'Remember Me' is a beautiful white centered selection of Hosta 'June'.  The small mounds of creamy white foliage with blue-green margins make excellent plants for smaller areas or in front of the border.  'Remember Me' demonstrates many of the same outstanding qualities of 'June', like good slug resistance and thick healthy foliage.  Lavender flowers add additional beauty to this hosta! Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5.  Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots.  It is best to keep areas around hostas clear of excess leaf debris to reduce the presence of slugs and snails.  Plant this low care plant in an area that receives the right amount of light.  The leaves need some morning sun to bring out the best coloration; too much sun will burn the leaves.  'Remember Me' is most at home in shady, woodland settings and often works well as specimen or edging plant. Daylily - Caribbean Coral - Sale Price: $49.95 The Daylily 'Caribbean Coral', Hemerocallis 'TP 06-14', is an early-blooming daylily with bright orange blooms on a more compact plant. It has a long blooming season, and its multiple flowering cycles are perfect for mass plantings and perennial beds. The compact grass-like foliage is Rust resistant and it matures to 15-18 inches tall. Use as an accent plant, in borders or in mass plantings; grows well near water gardens and ponds. Daylilies can be planted as single plants when you are doing a mass planting, or in groups of 2 or 3 together which form clumps. Good soil health is a key factor in growing great daylilies. Daylilies do best with a pH between 6.5 and 7 (neutral to slightly acid). In most cases, increasing the organic matter in your soil will go a long way toward bringing your soil's pH into the proper range. Daylilies grow best when planted in full sun to partial shade . In areas that receive less than 6 hours of sun during the day, your daylilies will probably produce fewer and smaller blooms, and the foliage may not be as robust.
