Hosta - Luna Moth
The Hosta Luna Moth, Hosta 'Luna Moth', is a stunning, easy to grow hosta that will make a cheerful presence in your perennial shade garden! A sport of Parky’s Prize, ‘Luna Moth’ produces thicker substance and wider margins.  In the spring the wavy, heart-shaped leaves emerge dark green with light green margins.  These margins will brighten to yellow in summer; this clumping plant also produces lavender flowers in early summer. If you are a beginner gardener, ‘Luna Moth’ is a great choice because of its exceptional form, color and vigor. ‘Luna Moth’ is a low care perennial and is ideal for shady positions and is one of the most popular for landscapes.  It is best to keep areas around hostas clear of excess leaf debris to reduce the presence of slugs and snails. It grows well in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5.  Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots. Plant ‘Luna Moth’ in an area that receives the right amount of light.  The leaves need some morning sun to bring out the best coloration; too much sun will burn the leaves. Hosta 'Luna Moth' has an exceptional form and is a vigorous grower! * Mounded habit * Exceptional form * Fast grower
