Salvia - May Night - Sale Price: $39.95 The Salvia ‘May Night’, Salvia nemorosa ‘Mainacht’, has glowing purple stems loaded with violet-purple flowers that bloom from June to October. With its blue-gray, lance-shaped aromatic foliage, it makes an attractive accent all summer long. It has a plant height of 18” and a spread of 18-24” and stays in excellent compact form. It was selected Perennial Plant of the year in 1997, and one can see why. Salvia ‘May Night’ should be planted in full sun in a moist well-drained area. To increase bloom time, it should be cut back after the first bloom. It can be clipped back hard after blooming to rejuvenate the foliage. ‘May Night’ is a magnet for butterflies, bees and hummingbirds and is deer-resistant. Emerald Blue may also be called creeping phlox or moss phlox. Blooming from April to May, it has a plant height of 4-6” and a spread of 18-24”. It is a definite addition to any perennial garden. ‘Emerald Blue’ needs to be planted in a full sun area in well-drained soil. This evergreen perennial blooms very early in the spring. It may rebloom throughout the summer. The foliage is reddish-green in spring turning to deep green in summer and finally turning bronze in fall.
