The Gro-Low Sumac, Rhus aromatica, is a selection of Fragrant Sumac grown for its very low, wide-spreading habit. This low-growing, spreading perennial plant is a woody ground cover. Gro-Low produces clusters of hairy red fruit in late summer and early autumn (on female plants only).  Autumn color varies from orange and scarlet to a stunning reddish purple.  The foliage is dense, glossy, and aromatic and is great for mass planting and bank control.  Xeriscape plant. This fragrant sumac performs best in a moist, moderately fertile, well-drained soil.  It thrives in acid soils, but tolerates alkaline soils too.  Gro-Low prefers full sun but tolerates light shade; full sun is preferable to obtain best autumn color. The English Lavender Munstead, 'Lavandula angustifolia 'Munstead', is one of the Lavandula angustifolias or English lavenders.  This plant is a branched, woody, perennial lavender plant that grows much like a small evergreen shrub.  The narrow leaves are about 2 inches long and have a pleasing gray-green color. A fragrant and a robust lavender, 'Munstead' makes a great hedge.  English Lavender ‘Munstead’ blooms profusely in the spring, after which a good pruning will provide an attractive gray bush with highly aromatic leaves! ‘Munstead’ is able to tolerate heat better than most other lavenders.  For good drainage, add sand to the bottom of the hole, especially if planting it in clay soil.  In order to have a bushier and taller plant, it should be pruned back the first year. This compact variety of English lavender has lavender blue flowers and is not only great for landscapes, but the flowers have a rich sweet flavor and are especially good when used with sweets, such as in baking and even added to tea! Only the flower petals should be eaten.  Pull the flowers away from the little brown or green cap.  Lavender flowers can be fresh-frozen or dried. The Daylily 'Caribbean Coral', Hemerocallis 'TP 06-14', is an early-blooming daylily with bright orange blooms on a more compact plant. It has a long blooming season, and its multiple flowering cycles are perfect for mass plantings and perennial beds. The compact grass-like foliage is Rust resistant and it matures to 15-18 inches tall. Use as an accent plant, in borders or in mass plantings; grows well near water gardens and ponds. Daylilies can be planted as single plants when you are doing a mass planting, or in groups of 2 or 3 together which form clumps. Good soil health is a key factor in growing great daylilies. Daylilies do best with a pH between 6.5 and 7 (neutral to slightly acid). In most cases, increasing the organic matter in your soil will go a long way toward bringing your soil's pH into the proper range. Daylilies grow best when planted in full sun to partial shade . In areas that receive less than 6 hours of sun during the day, your daylilies will probably produce fewer and smaller blooms, and the foliage may not be as robust.

Foxglove Candy Mountain, Digitalis 'Candy Mountain', is the first foxglove ever to have upward-facing flowers instead of the usual downward-facing ones! Japanese Honeysuckle 'Halliana', Lonicera japonica 'Halliana', is the most commonly seen Honeysuckle and is also known as Hall's Honeysuckle. It has whitish-yellow flowers with a delightful fragrance. Hall's Honeysuckles are a very fast growing plant to 15 to 30 feet. When used as a ground cover, they are about 2 feet tall. It produces rampant growth capable of engulfing wire or chain-link fences in just a couple of seasons. It is also a reliable, fragrant evergreen vine for a shade arbor. Excellent for screening or to drape over an unsightly wall or wood fence. Honeysuckle enjoys the full sun, but grows and flowers well in partial shade. Honeysuckle can be cut nearly to the ground in late winter/early spring when it becomes too big; new shoots emerge and growth resumes in the spring. A country-garden standby often trained onto dilapidated outbuildings or into the branches of dead trees. Capable of covering huge amounts of space in a short time, this vine makes a great ground cover on banks and slopes for erosion control. Be aware that is can be quite invasive.
