Veronica - Giles Van Hees
Veronica Giles Van Hees, Veronica 'Giles Van Hees', has long clusters of bright pink flower spikes that top mounds of dark green foliage, adding lively color to your garden. Veronica 'Giles Van Hees' is a dwarf variety standing only 6 tall, making it a perfect plant for containers or the front of the border. Easy to grow, 'Giles Van Hees' will begin flowering in mid-summer attracting butterflies with its sweet nectar. This perennial is tolerant of a wide range of well-drained soil types. Amending soils, especially very heavy and light types, with generous amounts of organic matter will result in improved performance. Deadheading promotes more blooms. To keep it re-blooming, prune off old flower spikes as they fade. New growth will begin and in a few weeks new flower spikes will emerge. If you are looking for a showy perennial that produces gorgeous pink flowers for a long period, then this plant is it! Use this plant in window boxes and in planters, small and large!

Daylily - Super Honor - DetailsDaylily - Super Honor - Sale Price: $54.95
Hemerocallis Super Honor, Hemerocallis 'Super Honor', has a robust fragrance and symmetrical flower with frilly ruffled petals. The large 6 purple flowers appear in late July above slender but strong scapes. ‘Super Honor’ flowers open flat to reveal a large lemon-lime throat surrounded by a darker purple band on the petals; petals also display darker purple veining. This very dramatic daylily has an exemplary plant habit and can stand the heat of summer; opens well under varying weather conditions which can occur in summer! Individual flowers last only one day, but since each plant produces many buds, the total blooming time of a well-established clump may last more than a month; attracts butterflies. Use 'Super Honor' daylily for color in shrub borders and in perennial beds.  Once established, the daylily can be an excellent groundcover on slopes because it has roots that hold soil against erosion.  ‘Super Honors’ also makes a beautiful floral arrangement. Divide every 3-5 years, or when the number of flower buds and the size of bloom begin to decline. Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement that is salted in winter, and under Black Walnut trees (not affected by juglone). No other Daylily equals the majesty of 'Super Honor'!  It is one of the most dramatic daylilies you can have in your garden! * Long blooming * Fragrant * Dramatic and durable

Clematis - Warsaw Nike - DetailsClematis - Warsaw Nike - Sale Price: $42.75
Clematis Warsaw Nike, Clematis 'Warsaw Nike', produces mysteriously dark violet-red 5 flowers that have a velvety texture with contrasting golden stamens. The ruffled petals overlap each other and have curled edges. 'Warsaw Nike' is more tolerant of shady sites and poor soils than most clematis.  Received the 1990 Word of Recommendation by the judging committee of the Royal Boskoop Horticultural Society, as well as the Silver Medal at 'Planetarium'. Clematis 'Warsaw Nike' needs a supporting structure to grow properly and it is easy to grow with a rich, porous, alkaline soil that has plenty of room for the roots to spread. Prune lightly above the new leaf buds in early spring and remove any dead or weak stems. Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, but will thrive and bloom in shade.  Apply generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine. This clematis is more shade tolerant than many others, making it a perfect choice for north-facing and dappled-sun gardens. Plant this wonderful 'Warsaw Nike' for its ease of culture, free rebloom, and great beauty! * Easy to grow * Shade tolerant * Luxuriant flowers

Hibiscus Sultry Kiss (Rose Mellow), Hibiscus moscheutos 'Sultry Kiss', will certainly make you aware of your landscape! 'Sultry Kiss' hibiscus displays brilliant, deep red buds that open to 9-11 inch wide, overlapping, purple-red flowers.  This hibiscus forms an upright mound of foliage that is well-branched with maple-like, dark green leaves that are bronze when they first emerge; and then mature to a dark green with reddish-purple stems. It provides a profusion of color from midsummer until frost. This super-long blooming shrub attracts butterflies, bees and hummingbirds all season long. 'Sultry Kiss' hibiscus need very little care over the winter; root hardy and needs no protection. 'Sultry Kiss' will die to the ground each year, so should be cut back to 4-6 from the ground in the spring.  Be careful not to over-water until plants show signs of growth.  Moist soils are best, but this hardy hibiscus is very drought tolerant as well.   It grows well in any fertile, well-drained soil with ample moisture.  Do not allow to dry to the wilting point.  Be patient; hibiscus can be slow to emerge in spring.  For best performance, plant in full sun in moist soil, before the heat of the summer.
