Coreopsis - Moonbeam - Sale Price: $49.95 The Coreopsis ‘Moonbeam’, Coreopsis verticillata, is the most popular perennial in its family. ‘Moonbeam’ was named Perennial of the Year in 1995 and one can see why. With its clusters of light yellow, daisy-like blooms and its green airy fernlike foliage, ‘Moonbeam’ Coreopsis blooms from June through October and is mildew resistant. ‘Moonbeam’ stands at 24” and has a plant spread of 18-24”. ‘Moonbeam’ should be planted in full sun. It is drought-tolerant and tough but does need well-drained soil. It should be cut backing early and late summer to extend the bloom period. Ajuga - Chocolate Chip - Sale Price: $39.95 The Ajuga ‘Chocolate Chip’, Ajuga x 'Chocolate Chip', is a useful ground cover with short spikes of blue flowers. This Ajuga has unusually narrow foliage of dark green, overlaid with chocolate-brown, forming a very low clump.  It is most noted for its dwarf habit and its chocolate foliage. The flowers appear in spring and are 4” in height with a plant width of 12-18”. It is not as invasive as most other Ajuga and best-planted 6-9” apart for a quick cover. Ajuga ‘Chocolate Chips’ will do best in a shaded area but will adapt to morning sun. It prefers moist soil with a good drainage but will tolerate moderately dry areas. The lavender flowers bloom from July to August, however, Hostas are not only known for their flowers.  With a plant height of 36” and a spread of 60”, this is a giant plant with colorful foliage that will need space to grow! Hosta ‘Sum and Substance’ needs to be planted in a full shade area in any moist, well-drained location.  ‘Sum and Substance’ does require some sun to enhance its golden color. ‘Sum and Substance’ was named Hosta of the Year in 2004, and one can see why.  The flowers are on 50” scapes, making it one of a kind!
