False Indigo - Starlite Prairiebluesâ„¢ - Sale Price: $42.75 False Indigo Starlite Prairieblues, Baptisia 'Starlite Prairieblues™' PPAF, is the second introduction to the lovely Prairieblues™ series of Baptisia. The dramatic 24 inch long flower stems resemble huge lupine flowers and make great cut flowers.  In late spring, the deep violet-lavender buds of 'Starlite Prairieblues™' PPAF unfurl into lovely periwinkle-blue blooms with contrasting butter-cream keels. The profusion of flowers rises just above the well-maintained foliage.  'Starlite Prairieblues™' looks great even when not in bloom! Bleeding Heart - Specatabilis Alba - Sale Price: $42.75 The Bleeding Heart Specatabilis ‘Alba’, 'Dicentra specatabilis ‘Alba’, is a fast-growing perennial with white, heart-shaped flowers. ‘Alba’ has two distinguishing features that make it a little different from the rest. One is the wonderful white flowers that it produces, and two, the fern-like foliage is lime green rather than green. A clump forming plant, it has a plant height of 2-3’ and a width of 20”. This Bleeding Heart should be planted in full sun but will tolerate morning shade.  It is heat tolerant and needs moist soil.  Do not let it dry out. Specatabilis ‘Alba’ will bloom from May to September and is a major attractor to butterflies.  ‘Alba’ makes excellent cut flowers. The foliage does go dormant, so it is best to plant this bleeding heart among later developing perennials such as hostas and ferns, which will fill in as the bleeding heart foliage begins to die back. Spiderwort - Concord Grape - Sale Price: $35.65 The Spiderwort 'Concord Grape', Tradescantia ‘Concord Grape’, has dark bluish-green foliage with purple flowers. The flowers open for one day but new blooms appear from June to October. With a plant height of 18” and a spread of 18-24”, it is one that should not be missed. The contrast of the flower color and foliage make it a definite eye catcher. The foliage of spiderworts looks very much alike the foliage of a daylily, especially when it is first emerging. Deadhead after the first flowering to prolong its blooming time. Tradescantia ‘Concord Grape’ should be planted in a sunny area. It will tolerate some morning shade with well-drained soil. It will accept damp soil but should not be over watered. ‘Concord Grape’ mixes beautifully with wild and naturalistic woodlands, in any perennial bed or as a border plant and attracts butterflies. It is a compact, upright, warm season, clump-forming ornamental grass which typically grows to 3' to 4' tall. Flame Grass features medium green blades with a reddish tinge which gradually develop further reddish hues as summer progresses, eventually turning a brilliant orange-red in fall. Burgundy foliage and creamy white seed plumes persist well into winter, providing a striking winter interest. Flame Grass is easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. It is tolerant of a wide range of soils from well-drained sandy soils to the heavy clay. Flame Grass prefers moist soils and does best in full sun. This versatile ornamental grass can be used as an accent, specimen, grouping, screen or by the water. Hosta - Regal Supreme - Sale Price: $42.75 The Hosta Regal Supreme, Hosta 'Regal Supreme', displays its wavy, attractive frosty blue leaves on an upright vase-shaped plant.  Each leaf has a wide creamy yellow margin. As the summer progresses, the leaves’ colors change to blue-green with wide, creamy white margins.  This exciting hosta is topped by lavender flowers in mid through late summer on very tall scapes; hummingbirds will come often to visit!
