Dogwood - Prairiefire - Sale Price: $57.10 Dogwood - Prairie Fire, Cornus alba 'Prairie Fire', is an attractive multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with reddish foliage that emerges gold in spring, and turns a soft yellow in summer. The pointy leaves add an interesting texture to this shrub and puts on an outstanding red show in the fall. In late spring clusters of creamy white flowers appear at the ends of the branches. ‘Prairie Fire’ produces white berries in midsummer. This dogwood adds color in the winter with its tomato-orange branches that are extremely showy and brightens up a drab landscape! Quince - Spreading - Sale Price: $57.05 Quince - Spreading, Chaenomeles japonica, is an adaptable, easy to grow deciduous thornless shrub that does best in full sun. Also referred to as the Japanese Flowering Quince, this shrub is tolerant of dry soils, and periodic pruning improves bloom. This sprawling plant has crowded gnarled branches and a low crooked habit. Old canes and suckers can be removed every year. The Spreading Quince needs ample room to ramble, so make sure other plants are not nearby that will be affected by its spreading habit. It has dark green foliage and pink to white flowers that appear in late spring or early summer. The leaves are untoothed, dark green above, and pale with a dense felt of grey wool beneath (especially when young). They turn a rich yellow in autumn. The fruits are light golden-yellow, green or orange, usually pear shaped, but sometimes round and apple-shaped. A quince is delicious stewed, baked, made into fruit butter and should not be eaten raw-- almost anything that can be done with apples can be done with quinces!

Viburnum - Forest Rouge Blackhaw - Sale Price: $43.95 The Forest Rouge Blackhaw Viburnum, Viburnum prunifolium 'McKRouge', is a trademarked selection made by Dan Moore at Mckay Nursery. This shrub has a dense, more oval, upright branching form than the species.  The foliage emerges yellow green and ages to a dark, shiny green. It is grown for this glossy, fine, smooth, textured foliage. Dark red young stems are a lovely contrast to the emerging yellow-green foliage.   Clusters of creamy-white flowers appear in spring followed by bluish-black berries that persist through fall until winter.  The fall color starts early on plants that are in full sun, and they will hold late into the season.  The plant is appropriately named because the 'Forest Rouge Blackhawk' has an outstanding maroon fall color. Forest Rouge Blackhaw works well for wildlife or naturalizing areas.
