Spirea - Shirobana - Sale Price: $56.95 The Spirea Shirobana, 'Spiraea japonica 'Shirobana', is a very interesting, and attractive summer blooming spirea with a handsome, mounding growth habit. This spirea variety commonly displays three different colored blooms all on the same shrub - and all at the same time!  Flower heads appear in deep rose, pastel pink, and white as well. The lustrous deep green foliage of this spirea forms a handsome mound 2 to 3 feet tall.  The Shirobana begins blooming in late spring and continues off and on through the summer. The Bar Harbor's chameleon-like leaves have long, sharp points that come in pairs or threes when juvenile, and then become more scale-like or flat when they are adult. 'Bar Harbor' has a moderate growth rate and gets about a foot tall and grows to six feet in width making it a nice choice to use for a groundcover.
